When
DenTag snc was established in the 1950s as an artisanal company, but the real transformation into a structured manufacturing enterprise occurred in the late 1980s, with the founding of the current DenTag srl, the construction of a new and larger facility, and the start of industrial-scale production.
In the 1990s, DenTag developed and consolidated its line of dental and surgical instruments, leading to a significant increase in exports. This success opened the door to contract manufacturing for other companies, especially in Germany and the United States.
One of the most significant recognitions of this growth was obtaining FDA (Food and Drug Administration) registration in the United States as a certified manufacturer.
During this time, DenTag primarily operated as a Private Label and OEM supplier, both for the Italian market and internationally.
At the end of the 1990s, the implementation of a certified ISO 13485 quality management system and the introduction of marketing activities marked the beginning of the DenTag brand’s promotion worldwide.
In the first decade of the new millennium, DenTag focused on expanding and strengthening its international presence through participation in trade fairs and advertising in specialized industry publications.
Today, DenTag is synonymous with premium-quality surgical and dental instruments, with over 75% of production destined for export. Thanks to its network of OEM clients and direct distribution, DenTag is present in nearly every global market.

The raw materials used—stainless steel, aluminum, and titanium—are deeply rooted in Maniago’s artisanal tradition and are selected with the utmost care. The heat treatment and sharpening techniques for which local craftsmen have been renowned for generations are an integral part of our production process.
Once the best available materials are selected and acquired, they must be processed with precision and consistency over time to ensure a consistently high level of quality.
The full production cycle includes both automated processes and manual craftsmanship carried out by highly trained in-house staff. These manual steps are essential, as they require skill and attention to detail to provide true added value to the final product.
At DenTag, every stage of production—from raw material to finished product—is monitored through an advanced IT system to ensure consistent quality and full traceability. Moreover, each production step is inspected by trained personnel to ensure every operation is correctly executed and meets our exacting standards.
