Company Description
Pastificio De Luca is a historic Italian pasta producer with roots dating back to 1794. Founded by Carmine De Luca in 1855, the company started with traditional pasta-making techniques using manual presses and natural drying. Over time, it modernized with electric machinery in 1900 and expanded to meet growing demand in Italy and abroad.
Today, Pastificio De Luca specializes in high-quality organic pasta, producing various shapes and flavors with a focus on private label manufacturing. With four flexible production lines, the company can produce up to 30,000 kg of pasta per day using carefully selected raw materials.
Certified by IMC for organic production and holding N.O.P. certification for the U.S. market, De Luca ensures high standards through internal testing for pesticides and hygiene. Since 1999, the company has been dedicated to innovation, offering nutrient-rich and organic pasta while maintaining its deep-rooted Abruzzese pasta-making tradition.
PASTIFICIO F.LLI DE LUCA SRL is one of the oldest pasta factories in the Abruzzo region, with a heritage dating back to the mid-19th century and spanning five generations.
Only a few companies in Italy still manufacture pasta using a continuous process with low-temperature drying (below 60°C). This method preserves the organoleptic and nutritional qualities of the raw materials, ensuring exceptional quality. Additionally, only this process allows for the production of special pasta shapes (such as large formats, hollow shapes, and lasagna) at a lower cost.
Recently, to meet the growing demand for health-conscious products, Pastificio De Luca has started producing its own-label organic pasta, with a strong focus on selecting premium organic raw materials, including:
- Organic durum wheat semolina
- Organic whole wheat durum semolina
- Organic whole spelt flour
- Organic Kamut Khorasan wheat semolina
This type of production is already part of De Luca’s expertise. As a co-packer, the company has continuously produced organic pasta for some of the most renowned brands in the industry.
